Things are moving....SLOWLY

Well, the house is still progressing, but it seems like it has come to a crawl. Barely today we got our doors and casings for the finish work (I've been waiting for 2 weeks for this)granted they also put in more then half of it today. If they work on it tomorrow they should have it done. They did pour our driveway and side walk, and they say it's important to get that stuff done before it snows. I guess I just need to learn to be patient.

My great hopes for this week would be that they finish the finish work, put on our siding, and it would be a small miracle if they painted. I want that done by at least the end of next week.

We talked to some of our neighbors today, they seemed really nice. I think so far the people in the neighborhood I've met are very normal, and that's a good thing to be in my book. It does not appear we will be kept up late at night with loud drunk parties and barking dogs.

Paige is acclimating to pre-school a little better and there are rarely tears when I drop her off now. The bus driver is letting her ride the bus on the way home, and she LOVES that. I have a hard time getting her off when they drop her off.

I have been having a lot of problems with acid reflux lately. It just came on so quickly about three months ago and just seems to get worse and worse. I am getting a scope on the 15th, and that almost scares me as much as the reflux does. I swear most of this is coming from living in a stupid little apartment. If moving into our home doesn't take care of it then I think I will have to be done having kids. I am not having another child if I have to suffer through reflux the whole nine months.

I am not sure how I feel about having more kids now. On difficult days with the kids I am pretty sure two is more than any normal person can handle, but when I look at our family picture it looks like we are missing one. I guess we will see what comes of the scope and if things look up in the spring, then we will decide. Doug turns 37 this month, and he surely isn't getting any younger. In fact he's pretty much an old man now. :)

WOW...the house kinda looks like your old one on the outside.
I am glad that it is all coming along. How much longer until you can move in?
Tell the old man HAPPY BIRTHDAY from me...on the 19th of course.
