Getting Antsy

Well, now the Thanksgiving holiday is over all we are looking forward to at the Ensign Apartment is moving.....5 Days and counting. We won't post pictures because not much has changed. They put on our hardware, had to move one light, painted our front door and garage door. Everything is hooked up and working.

Little things that need to be fixed. They haven't poured our other cement pad outside, they need to put up our shutters and fix some of the stucco. They also need to do touch up on the inside, but that's about it. We close on Wednesday, and get the keys on Thursday. This week will be a busy one, getting the couches clean and packing up the apartment.

Thanksgiving was fun. We went up to my parents and enjoyed family and food. Chrisy is leaving on her mission after Christmas so it was good it was our year. (She is going to Washington Kennewick Mission.)

Hmm what else. I am debating about writing a family Christmas letter this year. I guess we'll see how much time I have after the move. I am really looking forward to the Christmas holiday this year. I think Petunia will have so much fun this year, and it will be the first year we stay at home instead of spending the night at my parents. New home, new tradition, and lots of fun. It's a good time to meet new neighbors as well.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week, and a great kick off to the holiday season.

More on the house

Our house feels almost finished, I guess it should, we have our final walk through in 7 days. They put in our plumbing, the faucets on our sinks

and our carpet. The day we got our carpet we all just laid down on the floor and sat staring at the ceiling thinking about being able to be in a house instead of an apartment. We will really appreciate the new house. We are very happy with the carpet. We tried to make it the color of dirt, with tiny flecks in it to cover any other mess the kids want to try and put in it. I know, I am turning into my mom more and more everyday.

Here is the outside of the house. We are only missing our shutters and railings and gutters. Things are moving. On the inside I think the only things missing are door knobs, closet doors, shelves in our closets, and touch up. Things look really good, and it's getting so exciting!!!

We get the keys on the 29th and move on the 30th! Wish us luck!

Almost There!

Well, it seems like things are moving along quickly now. They have 18 days to get the home done for our final walk through. Today they had three different contractors out there. They were working on siding and grading......

flooring....

They have put in our bathroom counter tops as well.

(The kid's bathroom)

Chunk enjoys playing with the cabinets, and Petunia's favorite thing is to hide in them.

It is actually beginning to look like a finished product. We still need our carpet and plumbing fixtures, but almost everything else is in.

They have almost all of our lighting up, and I am loving it more and more every time I go in. Tonight when we went in they had the furnace going full blast, with no thermostat. Needless to say, our heater works great!

On another note...Chunk slept through the night 3 times this week, which is almost more then he has done in his entire life before this week. We have felt very spoiled, probably now that it's the weekend he will wake up 3 times tonight, but at least we can sleep in.

That's about it for now. Hope you all are doing great!
